Tech's notes: "These are very smooth turning like CTS pots, only much more cost effective."

I have always tried to buy CTS pots, but it is sometimes hard to find them in anything other than the guitar standard 250K or 500K, I took a chance on these, and so far they feel and sound just fine. We will see if they stand up to time and usage.
One niggling complaint is the little metal tab on the top of the pot that I had to snip off to attach to my Jazzmaster's pickguard. I suppose its purpose it to anchor the pot into wood, but it seems more of a hindrance than a benefit.

These Alpha pots are inexpensive and good quality. They lack the reputation of the more common CTS pots found in scads of handwired -- but the Alphas do the job just as well. If you purchase these, you'll also need knobs with a mounting screw... the push-on knobs on your old amp won't work.
