Ever notice your tone gets darker as you turn your volume controls down on your guitar? That's because when you reduce volume, you lose higher frequencies first. A treble bleed circuit is one of the easier and more useful mods for any guitarist who uses their volume knob regularly. It keeps your tone more uniform across the entire sweep of the pot from 1 to 10.
It is simply a cap (0.001uF) and resistor (150K) paired together. It uses a 1/4W Metal Film Resistor and your choice of capacitor type between ceramic, mylar, or orange drop.
Be careful not to overheat the resistor during installation. Use of a heat sink may be preferable.
