Shipping Delays

While we are processing and shipping orders with our usual speed of service, ALL carriers are backlogged as a result of unprecedented shipping volumes (especially Canada Post).  Though most shipments are arriving on time, some are arriving a few days late.  While very rare, a few are experiencing delays of up to several weeks past the delivery standard date.  It is quite possible that if you place your order today, you may not receive it for several weeks (potentially over a month for international orders).

We cannot provide details on whether or not your order will be delayed, nor can we provide any further details regarding your shipment after we've sent it.  Carriers no longer offer guaranteed delivery times and cannot open support tickets for delayed packages unless the delay has been more than 2 weeks past either its delivery standard date or its most recent tracking scan (whichever date is more recent).

"Trust me, we are equally frustrated with the situation!  Please understand that anything that occurs after we've shipped your order is beyond our control.  Thank you for your understanding!"

Worldwide Supply Chain Shortages

The turnover time from factories to our door has nearly quadrupled in some cases (some factory ETAs are now up to 9 months delay).  This is due to a combination of factors such as: raw material shortages, manufacturing delays due to closures and COVID-management protocols, shipping container shortages, port processing delays, an increase in demand the likes of which the industry has never seen, and a number of other factors well beyond our control.  It's the perfect storm, and it is affecting every industry worldwide.  Worse yet, while COVID may have kicked it off, it isn't the root cause.  So, it will only continue to get worse through into 2022, despite the loosening COVID restrictions.  Even the largest companies on the planet are suffering shortages and are unable to meet current demand.

Some factories aren't accepting orders at all from smaller companies.  Others are happily taking the orders (and the payments for them), but are not producing the products because larger companies are getting to cut the line and receive priority.  Meanwhile, the small businesses and boutique builders needing those parts are left without any cash and without any product to build or sell in order to continue their operation.  This is leaving many small businesses with dwindling stock levels and drained bank accounts.  I've had a few long conversations from heart broken builders and small businesses really struggling with this stuff.  A few have even shut down their operation completely and essentially given up on their dreams because they can't sustain a living anymore.  The effects of these supply chain issues are really hurting some people's lives.  So please, even if you don't support us, support your other local small businesses.  They need it now more than ever!!

If you notice we're low or out of stock on a specific product you need, contact us for an ETA.  Though, to be honest, in some cases the answer is simply, "We don't know.  Whenever the factory sends us what we ordered."

Local Pickup

We are not accepting walk-in business or payments in person of any kind.  You can place your order in advance online or over the phone for curbside pickup.  We cannot currently offer any extra in-person service.
