Shipping Policy

IMPORTANT - Canada Post Strike!

A Canada Post strike is either imminent or occurring right now.  If you select any Canada Post shipping option at checkout, you accept the risk that your parcel may be delayed for an unknown amount of time due to the strike.  We do not have any way to predict when, where, or for how long a strike may impact your parcel in transit.  See Canada Post for the latest information.

We recommend choosing another shipping method until further notice.  But, expect delays from all carriers as they process excess volumes due to the strike.

"Normal" Turnover Times

Most orders ship within 1-2 business days.  Orders placed on weekends might not ship until Tuesday (or Wednesday if Monday was a holiday).  Speakers and orders with speakers ship in 3-5 business days.  Extended delays will be highlighted during peak periods (around holidays and promotional events like Black Friday, Boxing Week, etc.) or periods of an unpredictable nature (natural disasters and/or short-staffed periods which can happen unexpectedly due to staff illness).

Products requiring extra processing time have turnover times listed on each individual product page.  Orders containing those products will be processed/shipped when those products are ready.  Tracking information is always provided with your shipping confirmation e-mail, unless you choose a shipping option with no tracking provided.

*PLEASE NOTE: Choosing an express/overnight delivery option does NOT speed up our processing time.  It only changes the time in transit once your order has actually shipped.  Our processing/turnover time remains the same, regardless which shipping option you choose.  In fact, some couriers (ICS) do not pick up parcels daily, despite us having a daily pickup scheduled.  So, your parcel may spend a few extra days waiting to be picked up if you choose their service.  That is NOT something we have any control over.  Choose another service if you'd prefer not to deal with that kind of delay.

Drop Ships, Special Orders, & Pre-Orders

If your purchase contains a drop shipped product, your entire order will be held until we receive confirmation of the drop ship.  If your purchase contains a special order or pre-ordered item, your entire order will be held until it can ship complete.

For security reasons, drop shipped deliveries require a signature upon receipt, no exceptions (even if requested).  Large speaker orders are shipped via Purolator regardless of which option is selected at checkout.

Local Orders (Nepean, ON)

Our warehouse is open for curbside pickup only.  No in-person customer service is available.  Contact us if you need anything more than just an order pickup.

You can place your order in advance online or over the phone and have it ready for pickup within the turnover times listed above.  Sorry, we do not allow people to skip ahead in the processing line just because they are local. All orders are processed in the order that they are received.

Orders containing drops ships, special orders, and pre-orders will not be available for pickup until all products are available.

You will be notified when your order is "Ready For Pickup." Please bring a copy of your receipt or proof of ID (matching that on your order) when you pick up your order. You will be required to sign for your package.

If you do not have an Ottawa address, the pickup option will not show up at checkout. In that case, just use our address as the shipping address on your order and you will be able to select the pickup option at checkout.  However, you still need to enter your correct billing address or your credit card will be rejected.

Shipping - In Canada

  • 10% Shipping Allowance on orders over $149!
    • Applies as a cart discount.  In most cases, this covers your shipping cost, and then some!
    • Does not apply to wholesale/dealer accounts.
  • All orders are shipped as parcels.  We cannot place products in envelopes and ship them as regular mail.  Shipping fees are calculated by the carrier and are are based on destination, package size, and weight.  We always recommend planning your orders accordingly to get the best value out of the shipping cost.
  • You can choose from several couriers: Canada Post, GLS, ICS, CanPar, FedEx, UPS, Purolator, and more.  All options include tracking and insurance!
  • For security reasons, drop shipped deliveries require a signature upon receipt, no exceptions (even if requested).  Large speaker orders of drop shipped speakers are shipped via Purolator, regardless of which option is selected at checkout.
  • Average transit times for Expedited/Ground/Regular/Standard shipments (cut these in half if choosing an express option):
    • British Columbia (4-6 business days)
    • Alberta (3-6 business days)
    • Saskatchewan (3-4 business days)
    • Manitoba (2-4 business days)
    • Ontario & Quebec (1-3 business days)
    • New Brunswick (2-4 business days)
    • Nova Scotia (3-4 business days)
    • Newfoundland & PEI(4-6 business days)
    • Territories (4-10 business days)

Shipping - U.S.A.

  • PLEASE NOTE: Customers may be responsible for brokerage fees, taxes, and other import fees on receipt of their order.  See your carrier/government import standards for details.
