Rough cast grade 8 AlNiCo (Aluminum/Nickel/Cobalt) bar magnets for making humbuckers, P90s, and other pickups. A8 magnets are very strong when fully charged, providing an aggressive attack with lots of punch.

Tech's notes: "These are rough cast with the two primary pole edges ground smooth/even. 'Polished' magnets aren't actually polished at all. They are just rough cast magnets that have been ground flat on all sides, rather than just the primary pole edges. With the pole edges ground smooth to the proper dimensions, there is no functional or sonic difference between rough cast and 'polished' magnets. The difference is purely aesthetic."
