Product Description
Dogbone style handle, black. Max working weight capacity 40lbs (industry standard for this style of handle, see below).
Don't let the price fool you! You can certainly spend up to 10X the price on "brand name" versions of this stuff if you're into that, but these are made by the same manufacturer to the same specs as the "brand name" versions. The only difference here is that you're not paying for a brand name to be attached.
Sold individually. Screws not included. Requires #8 wood screws or machine screws with tee nuts, per your preference.
Follow these links to purchase your preferred fasteners:
- Wood Mount: #8x3/4" Flat , #8x3/4" Oval
- Through Mount: #8-32x1" Oval with matching Tee Nuts
See alternate photo for dimensional drawing.
Tech's notes: "Dogbone handles are great for small/light amps/cabs/combos, but that's where it stops. They just aren't built for handling a lot of weight. Note that the 40lbs working capacity is the industry standard for all dogbone style handles from all major manufacturers. Why the big brand uses these as stock handles on such heavy cabs is beyond me. For that reason, I much prefer using strap handles and/or leather style handles which are both reinforced by a steel strip."

Penn Elcom Dogbone Style Handle - Black
Amazing quality handle. I would be happy to replace any damaged amp handle, vintage or otherwise with these.

Great value
They may not be an exact, period correct match for the gear I typically work on, but you cannot get a better handle anywhere near this price.

Good for that "Vox" look
A good quality handle that I've used on several builds to get that British-Vox-style look. These basically look like Vox (or Fender Blues Junior) handles, minus the logo. Just be aware that you can't install these on a cab and expect to sit a head on top. The handle rides way too high for that. In that case, get the Fender-strap or Hiwatt-style handle that sits flatter. NextGen are always great for prompt and helpful service.

Great handle
As good as any OEM cab handle.
