2.5mm DC switching jack, used on some effects pedals. The switching portion allows you to wire to the battery. Then the circuit to the battery will open whenever something is plugged in, preserving battery life.
Tech's notes: "Must be used with 2.5mm cable ends. NOT compatible with 2.1mm cable ends."

Wrong product
The central pin is too thick and is not going to work with any standard adapter I stuck with the wrong product NG Response: "As advertised, these are 2.5mm pin jacks, which can only be used with 2.5mm cables and are not compatible with 2.1mm cables. If you have 2.1mm cables (which are more common), they will only work with 2.1mm jacks."
