Good replacement for my old Garnet Gnome. Works perfectly.
These sockets have excellent grip and stay tight after repeated use for many many years
Like everything I've purchased from Nextgen, these sockets are superb.
Superb, sturdy tube sockets! Solder pin spacing & overall design of these octals makes both new installation or repair removal a breeze. Ace!
I have bought tube sockets from other vendors. Like tube sales sites and Amazon. And they seem to be the loose piece of plastic type insert that is press fit or crimped into a metal flange. And the metal flange is even flimbsy and the kind of metal that does not hold up to bending. It is likely those are some kind of counterfeit products. Like I would waste more time replacing a "new" tube socket right away because it fell apart on me or was rattling too much. These belton tube sockets are the best. Solid construction. Fixed plastic to the metal plate. They seem to really know what they are doing. I now only use these.
excellent perfect for a Tweed 5E3
High quality product. Very fast shipping
Beltons are the best tube sockets available in Canada as far as keeping tubes snug and for lasting. The double holes in the lugs are convenient for keeping solder joints on multiple wires (such as heater connections) neat and tidy. One thing to beware of is that the lugs are only held into the base of the socket by a diagonal twist away from the insertion slot. If you inadvertently twist the lug straight, you'll get a nasty surprise -- because the lug will fall out through the slot. Once you know this, though, the problem is easy to avoid.
