High insulated 8-pin tube socket commonly used for octal power tubes. Fits into a 1 3/16" chassis hole with bolt/rivet spacing of 1 7/16" to 1 11/16". Applicable for use in all types of electric and electronic equipment using vacuum tubes.

Good quality -- but a warning
Beltons are the best tube sockets available in Canada as far as keeping tubes snug and for lasting. The double holes in the lugs are convenient for keeping solder joints on multiple wires (such as heater connections) neat and tidy. One thing to beware of is that the lugs are only held into the base of the socket by a diagonal twist away from the insertion slot. If you inadvertently twist the lug straight, you'll get a nasty surprise -- because the lug will fall out through the slot. Once you know this, though, the problem is easy to avoid.
