Product Description
MADE IN CANADA
The industry's favourite solder in a conveniently portable pocket pack! The perfect size for the casual DIYer.
This is a thinner gauge solder than what you'll find at most department stores. This is often preferred by techs working on pedals, guitars, and other small electronic parts.
4880-4888 - Sn63/Pb37 RA Solder Wire
The 4880–4888 Sn63/Pb37 RA Solder Wire is an electronic grade solder wire. It uses the eutectic tin-to-lead alloy ratio, which is complemented with a RA-like flux core. The solder wires meet J-STD-004B, ASTM B 32, and exceeds J-STD-006C specifications. It is one of the easiest solders to work with because it offers a low-melting temperature with a sharp melting/solidification point, which results in robust and reliable joints that are highly resistant to whisker formation.
The leaded solders achieve a consistent solder and flux percentage through a state-of-the-art, extrusion, wire-drawing machine. This machine continually monitors the wire to prevent voids and ensure consistency, providing a top-grade solder wire.

Great quality and ready for pickup!
Great product, decent price and was able to pick it up on the same day. Next Gen is near my house, so I can't really speak about delivery times, I usually pick the items up that day or the next!

Great soldering lead
I was a complete novice at soldering but using this lead solder was very easy and you can tell the contact was made right when the solder turns shiny silver. I previously used cheap solder that came from the soldering iron I bought which was very poor quality. I highly recommend this product for wiring electric guitars.

Price is extremely competitive
So trying to locate this solder locally is twice the price. On the net it beats competitors. Trained as an electronic tech in the Canadian air force, this was the prefered solder. Just make sure your iron is not too hot and everything is clean.

Solid Solder
Melts easily and hardens into strong, shiny joints. Rosin core doesn't leave lots of residue.
