The MOD® Reverb Tanks are high quality upgrade units. Some of the major differences between the MOD®s and other reverb tanks are that the Transducers are wired directly to their respective RCA jacks as opposed to current production tanks where Transducers are connected by a detachable plug to their respective RCA jacks. This makes the tanks less receptive to any outside interference.

MOD Reverb Tank - MOD 4AB3C1B
A good replacement tank for my '67 Vibrolux reverb amp that sounds as good as the original one, if not better!

Great Replacement Tank for a PRRI
Perfect replacement reverb tank for my Fender 65 Princeton Reverb Reissue. A finer quality item than the stock Ruby reverb tank. I recommend the MOD series Reverb Tank for your Fender tube amp.

MOD tank
In a head cab, had less buzz than a Modtone! Love it! Deep reverb with the longest decay.

Replacement for Fender, etc.
4AB3C1B is the MOD replacement for most classic BF and SF Fenders (or clones) that originally used the Gibbs or Accutronics longer tank with 2 springs. I've also used it as a successful replacement in a Carr Rambler and some later Fenders, including the custom Vibroverb of the mid-90s. The dwell time on the MOD tank is a bit long for my tastes... making it an adequate, but not exact replacement, for the vintage Fendery type reverb. I've also had at least one example that had excess noise & rattling... even though it was brand new and there were no circuit problems. For the price of these tanks, it's hardly worth repairing an old one -- however, if you are looking to do an exact replica or precise restoration of a vintage amp, you might be better to seek out an older Accutronics or (even better) a reclaimed Gibbs. NG Response: "If you received a unit that had excessive noise and/or rattling, it was likely defective and may qualify for a free warranty replacement. Contact our sales team with your order details to see if you qualify."
