To me, they strike the right cost/usability balance. They are a bit bulkier than the name-brand much more expensive options, but I don't think that's a significant downside. Other than that, I can't really fault them.

I didn’t read the description close enough on these when I ordered. Schiller “style” not real Schallers. Not bad, but I’m sure I paid three times as much as eBay. Oh well, they do work, but are sized just a bit different (smaller) and aren’t as easy to disengage as the real ones. NG Response: "Sorry to hear you weren't happy with your purchase. They are returnable, per our return policy. For reference, this style of strap lock system is no longer produced by Schaller. They now make the S-Lock series, which has many improvements over the old design. The only available versions in the older style, like the one you purchased, are aftermarket equivalents.
