Retainer for modern EL84 tubes. For use with guitar amps and applications where the tube is suspended upside down in the chassis.
This style of EL84 retainer was popularly used in vintage 18W Marshall amps.
The two brackets mount using the socket’s hardware.
Tech's notes: "Most EL84 tubes measure approximately 2.75" (70mm) from the base to the tip of the glass. Some vintage EL84 tubes can measure over 3" (76mm), and aren't suitable this style of retainer."

Way too much spring pull - Broke my tube end right off
Would not recommend these as the spring pressure is way too much downforce on the tube. It shattered the top off my nice Mullard Vintage EL84. Went right back to the wire Vox style retainer.
