Product Description
DeoxIT® Fader F-Series is a precision lubricant for moving contact surfaces (faders, switches, potentiometers and other mechanisms with sliding surfaces). It replenishes lubrication lost on surfaces that have been cleaned with solvents or other cleaning solutions.
Key Features
- That tiny spray straw we all know and love! Does NOT come with a permanently attached, oversized nozzle that will over-spray everywhere and waste product.
- Adjustable spray intensity valve (LMH = Low-Medium-High intensity)
- Dissolves oxidation & corrosion
- Formulated for Conductive Plastics & Carbon-Based Controls
- Lubricates Faders, Switches, Potentiometers & other Mechanisms with Sliding Surfaces
- Maintains Optimum Signal Quality
- Reduces Wear & Abrasion
- Maintains Tactile Feel
- Temperature Range: -26°C to 150°C
Where to Use
- Lubrication/protection of plastic-to-plastic parts (faders)
- Plastic-to-metal parts (faders, linear sliders – dot matrix printers)
- Metal-to-metal parts (sliding and slow rotating metal parts, locks, bearings)
- Carbon-based controls (potentiometers) and membrane switches, mouse pointers, touch keypads)
- Damping Grease for Tactile Feel (DeoxIT® FaderGrease)
- ALL Metal Connections
Which DeoxIT Should I Use?
- D5 = Maximal cleaning, minimal lubrication/protection.
- F5 = Maximal lubrication/protection, minimal cleaning.
- G5 = For ultimate enhancement and protection of metal contact surfaces.
The gold standard for revitalizing jacks, lever/stomp switches, sockets, and other parts that do not require movement while carrying a signal is to use D5 first for maximal cleaning, followed by G5 for improved connectivity and lasting protection.
The gold standard for pots, faders, sliding switches, and other parts that DO require movement while carrying a signal is to use D5 first for maximal cleaning, followed by F5 for smooth operation and lasting protection.
Tech's notes: "Don't overspray! This stuff lasts a VERY long time if you use it correctly. Very short bursts for each application is all that is needed. Follow the instructions on the can to ensure maximum effectiveness."
