Following the great reviews we received for the Gold 12", we realized there was also a need for a speaker that conveyed the Alnico mellowness of the original Blue, with the speed and response of a 10" driver. The G10 Gold is the ultimate 10" speaker, blending unmistakable Alnico class with a rich low-end, creamy mid-range and vintage chiming top-end. Springy, warm, revealing, and highly expressive, it can be used singly or in pairs to add a classy sheen to any amp, or in a 4x10 configuration for higher volume depth, warmth and shimmer, with less of the boom associated with 4x12 cabinets.

I put it in my 65 Reissue PTP Princeton Reverb and I think the combination is fantastic. Very big muscular tone with all the fender sparkle. I thought about puting in a 12 " speaker but the G10 with it's 34 ounce magnet and 40 watt rating did the job beautifully without crowding the cab and chassis. Loving the tone !
Wouhaaaaa...this has opened up my 68 Custom Princeton Reverb in an surreal 3D way , and I bloody love it ! I had been playing that amp for the last 4 years with the stock Celestion Ten 30 which is absolutely faboulous for playing at home & bedroom levels on 1 to 3. It was time to look for a more efficient speaker for live situations and his one delivers and exceeds my expectations. The G10 Gold sounds as good as the Ten 30 at lower volume, and the G10 has more clean headroom at 5 vs the Ten 30 , which is what I wanted because of my humbucker-equipped guitars push a lot. My guitar tone goes from Mike Campbell to late 70s & early 80s metal. I'm always impressed by Next Gen simple ordering process and fast delivery for low shipping costs.
