Product Description
MADE IN ENGLAND
Originally created in the late 70s using more modern materials and techniques for a higher power handling, the G12-65 is widely regarded as one of the best speakers ever produced for use in a 4x12 cabinet. With its fast attack and tightly controlled low-end, the G12-65 had become a firm favourite with hard rock players by the early 80s. The preciely tuned mid-range and crisp defined top-end contribute to an aggressive crunch sound that punches through the mix while the mid-range warmth and detail give weight and depth to single notes.

Celestion G12-65
My favorite speakers. My first Marshall had them in 1983. If anyone has any doubts that these might not sound as good as the originals, let me assure you....they do. Without question...they have all the magic and mojo. I couldn't be happier.

Possibly better than a Greenback !?!
I have a quad of these in a Marshall 1960A that I use with a 1982 CSA JCM 800 2204. These speakers are a huge ingredient in the AC/DC sound of '77 - '83! They have all the Greenback woody mids with a bit more low punch and slightly softer highs which help tame the harshness inherent in Master Volume Marshalls. I can truly say that I have found my tone with these :-)

Everything I was looking for!!
After trying greenbacks, vintage 30s,Jensens,varios WGS speakers....I finally got a pair of 1265s to use with my Fuchs ODS 50...fired up the rig and there was that sweet full sound Id been looking for. Voiced perfectly and has a wonderful response with enough power to handle virtually any guitar amp .Notes bloom beautifully with overdrive and sing sweetly .The cleans are chimey and rich without that awful shrill thinness I find with most speakers. Not a trace of harshness and projects nicely. Best all round speaker for a variety of genres .Love em!!
