Bought for a PRRI. Liked the Jensen Alnico but it didn't track bass well and the breakup was ragged (no dope, plain cone, no seam and bullnose dust cap) although it sparkled and sounded very vintage! This speaker, although still new and not broken in yet, sounds great out of the box. It tracks bass well, (I have an Allen output transformer) and still has the fender sparkle and "papery" sound. It is ribbed so it is a little more rugged and distorts very naturally- I haven't played pedals through it yet (To be honest, I'm still giggling over how go it sounds naturally) My other speakers are Weber (blue dog and silver bell) and V30's. I tried a v10 (V30 10") and although the bass improved, the sound was no longer American...too British. To be honest, this speaker exceeds the Celestion bass-wise but retains the Fender tonality. I never write reviews..but since there isn't a lot of info in the 10", I thought I'd put in my 5 cents (I'm Canadian, eh!) Also, next gen was super fast and excellent communication (I also bought some pots and caps etc)
