- Lap joint construction provides protection against access of dust and splashing water. Also provides for improved EMI/RFI shielding.
- Vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges.
- Four 6-32 x ½" machine screws secure lid - into tapped holes.
- Designed to meet IP54.
- Low side wall draft angle (2 degrees or less) for easy P.C. board mounting.

A really good box all things considered.
This is a good box. It's sturdy and a rectangular prism shape. The sides are rounded and that's nice. I've put a bunch of transistors and resistors and diodes and capacitors -- both film and electrolytic -- and the box didn't complain. The screws are good screws too. They come in their own bag inside the shrink wrapped box so they're not running wild and getting lost. On top of how good this box is -- if you order a bunch of them -- you can tell the delivery guy he's delivering a box full of boxes -- which both vexes and befuddles them -- but then you both have a good laugh and you've made a new friend. Great box.

Hammond alternative
Tried one of these instead of the Hammond 1590BB I usually use. Not the cleanest machining along the bottom edges where the enclosure and base plate join but a little sanding fixed that. Screw holes were fine. Will try a few more to see about consistency.
