Pickguard Blank - 4-ply Red Tortoise (11.5"x17")

OK first, not happy AT ALL, with this. Plainly put, it's ugly. This is not genuine tortoise shell, this is a printed, repeating pattern. Looks cheap AF. Paying almost 30$ for this made me so mad. Worst part is I paid 15$ for shipping, so not financially viable to return it. Will put it on Marketplace, or forget it in the basement if it doesn't sell. Look elsewhere if you want something nice. I don't know what the guy from the 2020 review received, but it sure wasn't this. NG Response: "The product is exactly as advertised (4-ply plastic pickguard blank with a thin celluloid top layer), and pictured (two photo examples). This is the type of product most commonly used for pickguard material on electric guitars. I imagine based on your review that you were looking for something different (possibly 1-ply, and thicker), and maybe didn't look carefully enough at the photos. The other reviewer probably knew what he was ordering, which is why he was happy with it. We highly recommend reading the product descriptions for the things you order (not just from us, but from anyone) to ensure you're getting what you're looking for. Also of note, genuine tortoise shell has been illegal since 1973, so it is unavailable through legitimate sources. Modern equivalents are synthetic alternatives like celluloid, acrylic, or poured resin. All the best!"

Excellent product. Exceeded my expectations

Good product for the price.

Good stuff, looks like the pictures. Smells like celluloid when you cut it. Legit red tort guard material. 4 stars because it has a little bit of depth but I’ve seen better.
