The new Bobbin Holder is designed to hold all pickup bobbins from humbuckers to single coils to blade type bobbins. It is a unique adjustable self centering holder that simply centers a bobbin on the winder.
The new Bobbin Holder is designed to fit all Schatten Design coil winding machines, from the earliest one's of twenty years ago up through the current B, B kit, C, and D model machines. The Bobbin Holder will also fit a Mojotone winding machine as well. It may fit other machines as well, but we cannot confirm what else it will or will not fit on.
Having a bobbin properly centered allows for more consistent tension and less breakages, yielding a better winding process and improved consistency in your winding.
The Bobbin Holder has an internal linkage between the two threaded screws. When the knurled adjuster knob is rotated the two screws move closer or further apart in unison. For bobbins with a center single hole through the bobbin, the two threaded screws are removed and one is then threaded into the center receiver of the Bobbin Holder.

When I bought this, i was under the impression that it would look pretty decent for $80. It absolutely does not. I get when you're trying to get a job done, it shouldn't matter what a tool looks like, but it straight up looks like someone 3D printed it on a not very good 3D printer. Especially considering the Shatten pickup winder looks really nice, and i cant imagine someone drilling holes into their mojotone winder for this. Speaking of drilling holes, I also thought it would replace the metal part of the winder that the bobbin attaches to. Unfortunately, it doesn't and you have to drill holes into your nice winder on said metal bobbin holder part. Just get some good double sided tape and save yourself the money. $5 on double sided tape and i was off to the races. That being said, they do give you a template to get it done, so you're not just free balling it all the way through if you're comfortable with that kinda stuff.
