Product Description
SquarePlug SP500 is the smallest 1/4" pancake style soldered plug on the market. It is 20% smaller than the previous industry standard Switchcraft #228 and projects by only 8.3mm, which is much less than any currently available soldered or solderless connector.
The PERFECT plug for use in tight spaces!
Features:
- Ultra-low profile, small body (17mm x 28mm x 8.3mm)
- Solder terminals for both hot and ground
- Main insulator is a high grade poly-carbonate (more durable and heat resistant than the plastic or nylon regularly used by other manufacturers)
- Insulation sheet to prevent hot and ground signals from shorting
See our blog on "Pedalboards - What kind of cable should I use?" for details on cable types and considerations.
Tech's notes: "These require cable that is 4.8mm-5.8mm in diameter, like our mini cable. Most standard instrument cable is larger than that. These are designed primarily for pedalboards, where smaller cable is ideal."

Excellent solution for pedalboard patch cables
I’ve seen those connector/plug on many pedalboard builds lately decided to give them a try and build a feed patch cable for my main board. I’m very satisfied with the quality and built of the SP500. Good product and great solution for tight space between pedals.

Square Plugs SP400
yes it's true folks, these are the authentic Square plugs currently being used and endorsed by the rig doctor on YouTube among many others the latest greatest smallest pancake Jack in the world today. and being the latest and greatest, they is also the most expensive game in town, my town is in Canada though, and so are these Square plugs, and they fit on my Joyo eight loop narrow format pedal board looping station perfectly saving a lot of space, and of note, I was able to save a bunch of money because if you alternate them you can fit a pancake Jack regular type between each of them so that's a good cost savings right there. very well made they're the real deal pull out your wallets burn your credit cards but don't burn them till you buy some of these

SP500
Had my eye on these for a while. Great little plugs. Really cleans up pedal board and snug fit with rapcohorizon mini cable. If using with stereo inputs or looper inputs with little spacing between, check measurements as these jacks may not fit side by side if inserts are too close together.

Not cheap but worth it
Used these for speaker combo cables that would fit in nice and snug behind the back panel. Lovely to work with, solid construction and great look.
