Product Description
SquarePlug SP500 is the smallest 1/4" pancake style soldered plug on the market. It is 20% smaller than the previous industry standard Switchcraft #228 and projects by only 8.3mm, which is much less than any currently available soldered or solderless connector.
The PERFECT plug for use in tight spaces!
Features:
- Ultra-low profile, small body (17mm x 28mm x 8.3mm)
- Solder terminals for both hot and ground
- Main insulator is a high grade poly-carbonate (more durable and heat resistant than the plastic or nylon regularly used by other manufacturers)
- Insulation sheet to prevent hot and ground signals from shorting

Tech's notes: "These require cable that is 4.8mm-5.8mm in diameter, like our mini cable. Most standard instrument cable is larger than that. These are designed primarily for pedalboards, where smaller cable is ideal."

SquarePlug SP500 - 1/4" Mono Right Angle "Pancake" Plug
Used with RapcoHorizon Mini Guitar Cable. These were a breeze to solder. Using them on a row of 5 pedals gives you room for an extra pedal! I think these are my go to right angle plug from now on.

Not quite as good as expected
Nice quality, even smaller than I'd imagined, but requires pretty small gauge cable, Mogami 2524 is too big to insert :( NG Response: "As indicated in the product description, these are made for cable up to a maximum diameter of 5.8mm. Most instrument cable (like Mogami 2524) is larger than that. These are designed primarily for pedalboards where smaller cable is more commonly used. If you find the product unsatisfactory, please send it back for a refund as per our return policy."

On a row of 6-7 pedals you can ad another one on your pedal board if you're using these narrow connectors! It saves space on top of being of a very good quality as well.
