Tech's notes: "These work best with cable that is 5.5mm-6.5mm in diameter. It can work with smaller cable, but you will need to wrap that cable with heatshrink, tape, or something similar for a more snug fit."

Good but takes some skill
I used this with RapcoHorizon 2-Conductor Cable (stereo) and it's a nice snug fit in the neck portion of the connector. The tricky part is soldering the ground shielding wire because the plug doesn't actually have a dedicated terminal for ground and there's not a lot of room inside. There's a Youtube video on how to do this cleanly. BTW I used this to make dedicated MIDI cables to link my Empress Midibox2 with my Chase Bliss Audio pedals. The TRS cable requires the tip and sleeve to be switched for CBA pedals. Why oh why CBA??

Generic #228S - 1/4" Stereo Right Angle "Pancake" Plug
Used this with RapcoHorizon 2-Conductor Cable to make some TRS cables to connect some guitar pedals via midi. When connecting the ground, be sure to heat up the plug quite a bit, and place an ample amount of solder on it before trying to solder on the ground wire. I think that's normal though. Either way, worked great, will use them again for sure!
