Tech's notes: "These work best with cable that is 5.5mm-6.5mm in diameter, like our 20AWG Pro Instrument Cable. It can work with smaller cable, but you will need to wrap that cable with heatshrink, tape, or something similar for a more snug fit."

Loss in gain and clarity compared to more expensive plugs.

They work just fine
I've always used genuine Switchcraft plugs in the past, but I gave these ones a try. A little different, not a bad different, just different. But most importantly, they work just fine.
